They let me go on a friday very rudly and unprofessionaly. I will be in contact with other parties regarding what happened here. I stuck it out for 4 to 5 days and mentioned very nicely anyway i could be moved to a station that i wouldnt be sitting all shift, as it is pretty much the only station your sitting in. Then i was put to an 8 hr straight sitting and being hunched over doing triggers. Worked a week moving around different stations learning. Approx 3 weeks ago 6 years later i was re hired. Didnt matter tho i must have been lost in paper work. I never was called back, was quite upsetting as i was an over acheiver.
Then they were give a multi million dollar grant to expand, then they lay off ppl. Ran 2 different stations and exceded daily quota. Whether you need something for hunting, competition shooting, long-range precision, home defense or target shooting. So i worked here in 2014 for 5 to 7 months approximatly. Affordable and reliable, Savage rifles are ideal for a variety of uses. PEOPLE- Older tenure people hate it when you work faster and harder than them. Don't come from any type of firearm background. SAFETY-This place itself is a hazard with their old machines. you are forced to take it during shutdown. You are NOT allowed to choose any vacation. This means you are obligated to take it at that time and are unable to request time off. They then use your accumulated vacation time and pay you that during their plant shutdown. They have mandatory plant shutdowns for a week.
VACATION- You are unable to request vacation time off. you can work allay and if you talk or make interaction with someone, your penalized and management doesn't take it lightly. New people can get full time based on company needs. This means if they already have the full amount of full time hires, the contracted people will NEVER get hired on as full time until a contract renewal AFTER the 6months so your looking at close to a year before you get full time status, and this is based off of attrition, so you will ONLY gain full time if the contracted people get fired or quit, so even after 6months to a year, you can potentially still be on contract.Ĭompany goes through 3 different receptionists as well. They hire and fire people who are on contract and have to have a ratio of full time/part time people.
